The Songdo Daewoo Town design is an exceptional seaside park community for commercial and cultural activity. It is comprised of a 102-story office tower and an adjoining 28-story research/office structure; an S-shaped hotel and convention center; a component of rental offices, condominiums, and retails shops; and a retail/cultural complex that extends along a major boulevard to maximize access to the rapid transit system, granting visitors easy access to the museum, arts center, and shops within.
Above grade, the components are clustered in four primary sectors with large areas of the site reserved for a spacious central park. Each sector is designed to stand alone functionally and aesthetically, with the park and nature enhancing the built environment. Below grade, highly-functional retail and parking levels promote year-round activity, while connecting and energizing the complex.
