HYATT REGENCY ATLANTA AND HYATT REGENCY SAN FRANCISCO INCLUDED AMONG AMERICA'S FAVORITE ARCHITECTURE
Celebrating 150 years, an American Institute of Architects poll ranks 150 of Americas Favorite Architecture Projects
ATLANTA, GA (February 22, 2007) John Portman & Associates, Inc. is honored to announce the inclusion of the Hyatt Regency
Atlanta and the Hyatt Regency San Francisco among Americas most beloved architectural structures. The list of 150 favorite
examples of American architecture are the results of a poll released today by Harris Interactive, and the American Institute
of Architects (AIA), the premier professional organization for Americas architects.
The list of Americas favorite architecture was determined by conducting online interviews with a random sample of AIA members
as well as a survey of the general public. Each AIA member nominated up to 20 of their favorite structures resulting in a list
of the top 248 structures. Selected participants of the general public then assessed up to 78 structures selected in random order
from the larger list of 248 to determine the top 150.
This poll commemorates the AIAs 150th anniversary, dedicated to Celebrating the Past, Designing the Future, and honors architects
for their commitment to design and livability in our nations buildings and communities.
