Firm to Design New Gayatri Park Hyatt in Hyderabad, India
ATLANTA, GA June 8, 2006 - John Portman & Associates is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Gayatri Hi-Tech Hotels for the architectural design of the Gayatri Park Hyatt in Hyderabad, India. The project is approximately 55,700 square meters (599,550 square feet) in a prime setting and will hold a five-star, 250-key Park Hyatt hotel and 6,500 square meters (69,965 square feet) of deluxe serviced apartments.
The projects location will be one of the best addresses in Hyderabad with frontage on the Banjara Road and an excellent connection to the airport and the citys business centers. The project will include international class amenities and features, including meeting, conference and banquet facilities, restaurants and lounges, and a spa and fitness center. Hyatt International Corporation USA will serve as the operator.
Gayatri Hi-Tech Hotels of Hyderabad, India is part of the Gayatri Group of companies, a large and highly successful industrial conglomerate. The Group owns and operates companies dealing in the business of infrastructure construction, commercial complexes, sugar mills and had now ventured into the hotel business.
