Riverwood 100 Office Tower
Atlanta, Georgia

Atop one of the citys highest vantage points, Riverwood 100 is a 22-story, 500,000-square foot (46,500 sm) office building built as the first phase of a suburban development begun in 1988. The tower composition is that of an elongated rectangle, stepping out rhythmically and dynamically at each end. It also steps back as it moves upward. At the 16th, 18th, and 23rd floors, a curved greenhouse fills the stepback on the front faade to create a dynamic office environment. Contributing to the natural beauty of the site, the base of the tower is set within a sunken garden and the parking structure is recessed into an existing ravine beneath the building.
